MICHAEL JOSHUA is an electronic music artist, songwriter, and producer from Sydney, Australia, born in 1989 with Greek and Arabic heritage. His sound lives in the world of electronic music, but refuses to stay inside one box. Blending deep house, future house, high-energy dance, vocal trance, progressive house, melodic techno, and underground club influences, MICHAEL JOSHUA creates music that is euphoric, sexy, dirty, emotional, atmospheric, and undeniably thumping.

His music is designed to leave an impact. It is made for the kind of moments that stay with you — the late-night club hours, the festival sunrise, the bass drop that lifts your heartbeat into another dimension, and the emotional breakdown that makes you feel something deeper than just a beat. His connection to music began at a very young age. Growing up in Sydney, MICHAEL JOSHUA was surrounded by sound, performance, culture, and nightlife. His parents owned large Greek, Arabic, and English nightclubs, and his family lived above them. As a child, the music from famous DJs and live performers would travel through the building and into the bedrooms until the early hours of the morning. Those sounds became part of him.

Raised with three elder sisters and one younger sister, music was always present in the home. Different genres, cultures, rhythms, and voices shaped his early imagination. He was introduced not only to music, but to the lifestyle and mythology around performers — DJs and artists with wild stories, creative freedom, and what felt like gypsy adventures through nightlife, travel, and sound.

His earliest influences were electronic music, pop, Eurodance, eighties funk, and the larger-than-life icons of performance. Madonna and Michael Jackson, the Queen and King of Pop, had a powerful impact on him as a child. Their confidence, visual identity, performance style, and ability to dominate culture became early blueprints for what an artist could be. He was also influenced by a wide range of pop, dance, and Euro artists including Ice MC, Cappella, Alexia, Ultra-Sonic, Technotronic, Stacey Q, Debbie Harry, Stevie B, Prince, New Edition, and many others who helped shape his love for rhythm, melody, performance, and energy.

At the age of seven, MICHAEL JOSHUA began attending a prestigious theatrical course every weekend for twelve hours, training in modern jazz, hip hop, singing, and performance. While music was always present, acting became one of his strongest early passions, and he went on to work professionally in acting through his teenage years and into early adulthood. This background in theatre and performance helped shape the way he approaches music today — not only as sound, but as a full emotional and visual experience.

During his years at Vaucluse High School in Sydney, he discovered the rave scene, and it changed everything. He became deeply connected to electronic music culture, attending some of the biggest rave parties in Australia. Events such as Utopia, Triple Trouble, and Colossus became major influences on his youth and creative identity. DJs including Peewee Ferris, Spellbound, and Chris Creator became part of the blueprint for his love of everything electronic.

His passion grew so strong that he decided to create his own event, Dimension 7. The event became a huge success, drawing around 5,000 people and proving early on that MICHAEL JOSHUA had a powerful instinct for music, atmosphere, energy, and crowd connection.

By the time he was twenty, he had moved deeper into the nightclub scene and discovered the artists and DJs who would further shape his sound and vision. Names such as Nik Fish, Bexta, Amber Savage, Paul Thorpe, Stevie B, and Jewels — the Queen of NRG Trance — became major inspirations. Their influence helped strengthen his love for trance, high-energy dance, progressive house, melodic techno, Euro trance, and the kind of club music that lives between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m.

As a songwriter, MICHAEL JOSHUA brings a deeply personal and emotional edge to his productions. Around ninety-five percent of his songs are written entirely by him. Storytelling has always been part of who he is. From his teenage years into adulthood, he wrote hundreds of poems, short stories, and personal pieces, many of which he later revisited and realised could be transformed into powerful tracks. That instinct proved right. His lyrics carry emotion, honesty, desire, drama, vulnerability, and atmosphere — all elements that naturally connect with the electronic worlds he creates.

MICHAEL JOSHUA is currently working on a number of new projects, including music in Spanish, continuing to expand his sound and creative reach. His work is diverse, sometimes unpredictable, and always driven by feeling. Whether the track is emotional, seductive, dark, euphoric, or explosive, the goal is always the same: to create music that moves people physically and emotionally.

His music is for the clubbers, the dreamers, the late-night drivers, the dancers, the lovers, the broken-hearted, and the ones who still believe music should make you feel something.
